Here is what I overheard a conversation between a mom and a child (my neighbours) yesterday night (guess it was pst midnight)… The kid is less than a year old…
Mom (in a musical tone) : sa.. ri.. ga.. ma.. pa.. …. …
Kid (tries to follow) : daa… baa.. boo… goo… daa…
Mom (goes silent)
Kid : gaa… boo… aaa.. ooo.. daa…
(same continues for 3-4 minutes)
Suddenly
Mom (in a high pitched shout) : I WANT YOU TO BE IN BED IN ANOTHER 10 MINUTES. (poor child, what it can understand if you shout like that !!!)
Kid (in an equally high pitch) : Whaaaaaaaaa !!!
Mom (sudden change in tone and starts comforting the kid by singing a lori)
Imagine how funny it would be to listen to this kind of conversation (can you call this a conversation!!!) in the middle of the night… :)
